SUMMARY: There are many excellent websites with statistics on gun violence in America. We recommend checking out the following:

  • BBC – Charts on how America compares with countries in the world in regards to gun violence. The data is from 2019, and it has only gotten worse.
  • Giffords – Linked to their annual gun law scorecard for each state. Click on your state and the ones around it to see how your home state is doing.
  • GunViolenceArchive.org – Real-time data on gun violence in America. Be sure to follow their Twitter account for a sobering reminder of the gun violence epidemic we are in.
  • MassShootingTracker.site – Tracks mass shootings (defined as 4 or more people are shot) in the United States.
  • Pew Research – Polls, data, trends, and more on gun policy in America
