SUMMARY: What if before we walked into a room we told ourselves that we represent the image of God in this room? In a challenging and insightful sermon author and pastor Skye Jethani says we have been taught that we are created to serve God, which he says is a pagan calling, but what we have really been created for is for representing God, which is a Christian calling.

KEY QUOTES: “Regardlesss of what room we are entering. Whether you feel like you have something of value to contribue there or not. Whether you have silver or gold, what you carry is of infinite value because you carry the prescene of God. And what would it look like for you to enter every room you go into, literal or figuatively, and say to yourself, ‘In this place I represent the prescence of God. In this place I need to see the siters and brothers I encounter as made in the image of God. I need to give them the dignity back that the world has stolen from them and sometimes that the church has stolen from them. I need to offer myself, not because I have anything of great value, but because I carry the one who is of infinite value because that is what the world needs.'”
